In partnership with the Jordanian Chefs Association (JCA), and Luminus Technical University College, a U.S. beef cooking competition ran among students from LTUC, Ammon Applied University College (AAUC) and the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA). Contestants were requested to choose two out of four U.S. beef cuts for preparation and plating for judging by a panel of six judges. The U.S. beef cuts included Flat Iron steak, Flank Steak, Striploin and Rib Eye. Eighteen finalists competed for The Perfect Steak. Three student chefs from RACA won the first, second and third places. All contestants received certificates of participation and USMEF pins. The first three winners obtained knife sets and trophies.
