In cooperation with the Lebanese Army, the U.S. Meat Export Federation and its representative Agri Marketing organized a 6-day relief campaign targeting youth groups and families in residential areas affected by Beirut blast. Lunch boxes of American Angus beef burgers with a fruit and dessert, were delivered daily to around 1,550 Lebanese consumers and vulnerable groups who are hardly hit by the explosion. Beirut Forward Emergency Room – Food Sector, Beirut Municipality and the Red Cross praised USMEF initiative and contribution while consumers appreciated the taste and flavor of U.S. beef burgers and were gratified by USMEF’s generous meal donations.
