Thrilled to unlock their potentials and ready to cook some of the finest American beef cuts in town, participants in the FIRE & FEAST AMERICAN BEEF BBQ WORKSHOP accepted the challenge to take part in U.S. BEEF BBQ AMATEUR COMPETITION on October 30th. Guided by “The Butcher&The Chef” and assisted by Badia Grills staff, six competitors threw down for the cook off, fired up their grills, lit up the charcoals and got the smoke rolling. Each one of them was challenged to apply learnt grilling and barbecuing basics on U.S. Bottom Sirloin Flaps and Rib Eyes. The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Embassy in Jordan co-hosted the competition with the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and took part in the judging panel. Three contestants made it to the finals but one lady was crowned the U.S. Beef BBQ champion. Winners got great prizes: grilling kits from USMEF, gift vouchers from Badia Grills and Dab Foods – Sysco Int’l Food Group and U.S. Breakfast Beef packs offered by Frozen Food House.
