U.S. Beef Master Classes at the Jordanian Creative Steps Academy in Irbid - Jordan
The culinary and hospitality sector in Irbid hosted for the first time a U.S. Beef Master Class at the Jordanian Creative Steps Academy, organized and implemented by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF). Twenty-six aspiring young chefs were trained to become masters in U.S. beef butchering and cooking skills.
A comprehensive presentation, given by USMEF representative Ms. Lina Kanaan, covered basic and advanced topics about the U.S. beef industry and what makes beef from USA the finest in the world. Student chefs moved to a state -of-the art kitchen where they practiced beef trimming, new butchering skills to get different steaks from the same cut, portioning steaks to fixed weights, and multiple cooking techniques that match the various U.S. beef cuts demonstrated. All student chefs and their instructors received certificates of participation.
