The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and the Texas Beef Council (TBC) seized the opportunity to participate in the highly anticipated Hotels’ Buffet Challenge 2023, organized by the Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA). The event was held at the prestigious Al Saraya Ball Room of the InterContinental City Stars Hotel on August 22, 2023, and was an exceptional culinary experience celebrating the talents of renowned chefs from various hotels. Movenpick Hotel Gouna, InterContinental City Stars and Steigenberger teams were qualified for the final challenge day and the first rank went to Steigenberger Hotel team led by Chef Hossam Soleiman.
During a memorable Award Ceremony that combined contestants from the Buffet Team Challenge and the National Salon Culinaire, a special acknowledgment was given to USMEF & Texas Beef Council being the main sponsors while giving the U.S. beef industry direct recognition and appreciation in front of a big crowd of chefs and hospitality gurus. USMEF Rep Lina Kanaan presented the winners with USMEF&TBC challenge cup, medals, trophies and butcher’s knives; all featuring USMEF AND TBC logos making it an everlasting symbol of their achievements.
The event was publicized through an extensive media coverage, with press releases, interviews, and features highlighting USMEF & TBC contributions to the culinary industry. Among the platforms covering it is “iHoreca” a Chefs’ and Foodservice Community Hub.
This collaboration with ECA offered U.S. beef muscle cuts a unique platform to promote its availability in the Egyptian market in diverse types and to emphasize its unmatched quality, taste and tenderness while supporting the culinary community in Egypt.
