A vibrant Texas Beef BBQ Festival & Cookout brought together more than 85 Egyptian traders and culinary professionals on July 18, 2024 to experience an authentic Texas Beef cuisine prepared and served by head butchers and expert chefs. Hosted by the U.S. Office of Agricultural Affairs in Cairo, the event was organized by the U.S. Meat Export Federation in collaboration with the Egyptian Chefs Association and with the support of the Texas Beef Council. The versatile menu highlighted Low-N-Slow cooking and smoking of USDA Prime and Choice rib eyes, briskets, striploins, flat iron steaks and short ribs; in addition to sliders and sausages.
