At Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa, U.S. beef training was the first of its kind in this popular touristic area of Jordan. The Jordanian Chefs Association with its president and board of members joined hands with USMEF to involve a congregate of their chef members in the training. The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) in Cairo delegated its Amman-based staff Mr. Mohamed Khraishy, Senior Ag Specialist – U.S. Embassy Amman, to represent FAS in the training. Kaylani Food Center and the Meat Master Gourmet Store have also collaborated with USMEF to organize this activity and present chilled U.S. beef products to thirty five chefs working in five star hotels and restaurants in Dead Sea area. Essential topics related to breeding, feeding, quality and yield grading, cutting, and safe handling of U.S. beef were covered. Corn Fed US CAB Sirloin Steak, Chuck Roll Roast, Rib Eye, Tenderloin, Flank and Brisket were presented and tasted.
