Cook U.S. Beef like Chef John Cadieux

Luminus Technical University College hosted on May 09 a U.S. Beef webinar sponsored by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF).

Chef John Cadieux was the guest speaker and the webinar topic "Cook U.S. Beef like Chef John Cadieux" was moderated by Lina Kanaan, USMEF Rep. in Jordan and Lebanon.

A native of Ottawa, Canada, Chef John Cadieux spent more than 30 years working as a chef internationally across the world. At the age of 14, he accepted a job in an Ottawa bistro. It was from this employer that he later took out his first loan, using it to pay for cooking school to fulfill his dream of becoming a famous chef.

Chef John started the webinar by addressing 95 students from the hospitality and tourism department at Luminus. He presented scientific and technical information about various U.S. Beef cuts and its applications. The versatility of U.S. Beef cuts and how it can be properly cooked at home was emphasized.
