In the land of the Pharaohs, the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) took the opportunity to partake in the African Culinary Cup 2024, organized and implemented by the international World Chefs Contest and the Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA) who joined efforts to assemble National Young Chefs Teams from the African continent and the Middle East to compete during this prestigious event.
Teams from Mauritius, South Africa, Egypt, and the UAE brought their culinary prowess to an open kitchen stage in a thrilling live cook-off. Each contestant crafted a unique main course featuring U.S. beef tenderloin steak. Judged by an esteemed panel of world chefs and evaluated by VIP guests who gave their feedback on recipe presentation, taste, and flavor. The competition showcased U.S. beef in the best of African and Middle Eastern cuisines. After a fierce competition, Egypt claimed victory, taking home the title of African Culinary Cup Winner!
