U.S. Beef Re-Imagined from Cut to Craft!
A Culinary Masterpiece Unfolded at Food Africa! 🍖✨
Supported by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), live cooking demonstrations and tastings of U.S. beef chuck short ribs and striploin took place on December 5, 2024, at Food Africa 2024 - Egypt’s Annual International Trade Exhibition. USMEF collaborated with the Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA), the official organizer of the live cooking displays at this year’s Food Africa. Experts in U.S. beef butchering and cookery, Head Butcher Ziad Muasher and Head Chef Lubna Alamat, captivated the audience by showcasing the exceptional quality of U.S. beef and cutting-edge culinary techniques.
Attendees observed the art of crafting the different steaks, explored innovative recipes, and indulged in tasting Miso Glazed Short Ribs with Chili Maple Sweet Potato Puree, Strip Steak over Spicy Mango & Avocado Salsa and Striploin Crostini with Horseradish Whip & Crispy Onions. It was a celebration of flavors, expertise, and passion brought to life by USMEF and “The Butcher and The Chef.” A truly unforgettable experience for all food enthusiasts! 🍴
